Jack-O-Lantern Nails

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!
Today I decided to paint my nails to get into the halloween spirit. I got inspired by the most obvious halloweeny thing which is the Jack-O-Lantern. So I ventured out to the shops and found this nail polish called Essence in Priceline.

First of all, the colour is gorgeous! Its a bright orange called Flashy Pumpkins which seemed like a perfect fit for the look I was going for. I had never tried Essence nail polishes before and for $2.75AUD I wasn't going to say no to that price. At first I was skeptical about the quality of the nail polish but was I'm extremely impressed with how pigmented it was from the first stroke.

All I did was paint my nails orange and then used this nail pen I bought ages ago from sportsgirl to draw the face on the Jack-O-Lantern.

Nails of the Day

Hi everyone,

WOWZA!! I haven't blogged in a while because I have been really busy with work but enough with the excuses, I'm back and am going to get back into the swing of things with my blog. And what better way to start by showing you a cheeky nail of the day.

I absolutely LOVE the Rimmel London I ♡ Lasting Finish in the colour Misty Jade. In the photo it looks more like a lightish blue but in real life its more of a greenish tiffany blue if that makes any sense. The colour changes a little depending on the lighting and possibly what type of base and top coat.

This colour is perfect for spring and I was really impressed with how it lasted a little over 5 days {with hardcore opening boxes and stuff for work}.

I then added an accent nail with O.P.I Nail Lacquer in the colour Gone Gonzo! Which I am pretty sure was apart of the 2011 Muppets Collection which can be purchased on Amazon

O.P.I Natural Base Coat: Here
Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish {Misty Jade}: Here
O.P.I. Nail Lacquer {Gone Gonzo!}: Here
Revlon Color Stay Top Coat: Here

I'm kinda bummed out that the photos didn't really show the "true" colour but hopefully you get where I was going.

And thats one quick post for ya!
Hope you're having a lovely day!

Essie Nail Polishes

Hi everyone!

I was on a shopping adventure last Tuesday and found that Priceline Pharmacy had an introductory sale on Essie nail polishes. Normally they are selling for $16.95 however the introductory price was $12.95 which I thought was a pretty good deal! Still they were a little pricy but in the spare of the moment, I felt like I needed them in my life. I'll have to try and find other drugstores that sell Essie nail polishes cheaper.

I'm sure that nearly every blogger have talked about this brand of nail polishes and I decided to try them out for myself. When I was searching for colours, I was amazed by all the different names that they had come up with because they are so imaginative and it definitely made me more interested in the brand.

{1} Marshmellow: I felt like I needed a white nail polish in my collection and the name "Marshmellow" totally won me over. Also, white is a classic colour which looks great with everything so I'm sure I will be wearing this colour in summer to complement a tan!

{2} Lilacism: Oh, this colour is so beautiful! I'm a real fan of purple and I didn't have a purple nail polish that was lilac! I think it's a good colour for spring and I'm sure that I always will wear it on my nails.

{3} Ballet Slippers: A girl can never have too many shades of pink right? I haven't tried this colour yet but I'm sure the colour will be wonderful.

From the first stroke of one of the polishes, I knew that this brand will be one of my favourites for a long time. It was so easy to apply because I didn't need apply too many coats {I only did two coats and they were at their true colours}. I was amazed at how they dried pretty quickly with my Revlon ColourStay Top Coat and the finished look was shiny and smooth.

What are your favourtie colours from this Essie? I would love to try out some new colours!

September Favourites 2013

Hi everyone!

October is finally here so that means all the September favourites posts are upon us! I thought I would do my first monthly favourites and I'm really excited to share all the things I have been loving in the month of September!

Lately the Maybelline Color Whisper range has been my go-to lipstick for nearly every outfit. I have been loving the shade Petal Rebel the most because it just adds a little colour for when I can't be bothered contouring. The colour whispers are lightly moisturising and the colours are easily build-able for a more pigmented colour.

Towards the end of September, I bought myself Rimmels Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara and wore it a couple of times and absolutely loved it!! I actually prefer it to the ones I have and love already. A Review is to come so watch out for that one!

I have had the Revlon PhotoReady Primer, Shadow & Sparkle palette in Metropolitan for a couple of months but finally decided to wear it in September! I love the colours and I found that It stayed on my eyelids for a long time. It has a guide at the back so you know where you should put the shadows which is really convenient if you're a beginner at putting on shadows!

This month, I decided to try out my first crème blush ever. I opted for Revlon PhotoReady Crème Blush in Pinched. At first I was really confused on how to put the blush on but one I got the hang of it, I really liked the texture and the fact that it blended so easily!

Next is a book called "The Land of Stories - The Wishing Spell" by Chris Colfer. I absolutely LOVED this book! When I was younger, I used to read all the time! It was an escape from the real world and I picked this book up because I wanted to get back into reading - starting from fairytales. This book is brilliant because its a mix between the most loved fairytales, a different twist to them and the modern world which is something that I was interested in!

And Lastly is this phone case I bought at the Perth Royal Show. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I needed it in my life because anything that is iridescent makes me feel like a mermaid and I love it!

And these are the things I have been loving in the month of September!

What have been your favourite things in September?
