MAC Lady Danger

I picked up one of MAC's infamous lipsticks"Lady Danger" last week and I am absolutely in love with the colour."Lady Danger" is described by MAC as a vivid bright coral-red and I would definitely say that their description is somewhat accurate.  Its definitely not your average-joe red lipstick - you can clearly see that it has orange undertones but it's not too strong. This colour is so unusual but I love it because it instantly lifts my face and is so different from the other red lipsticks I own.

I'm going to be honest when I sat that I was rather afraid of trying a matte lipstick because I didn't know what was going to happen with my chappy lips. However, I pulled up my big girl socks and decided to give this matte lipstick a go and I was amazed with how pigmented it was with one swipe. I prepped my lips beforehand and then applied this lipstick {straight from the bullet or with a lip brush - whatever you prefer} and I was really impressed with the formula. It lasted a good 5 and half hours with light eating but I ended up with that weird outer red ring on my lips so touch ups are a must with this lipstick. I also noticed that I was checking the mirror more than I usually do because I thought it was going to smudge all over my face and I would end up looking like a clown so I would recommend using a lip liner to keep it from feathering.

I do love a bold lip colour and "Lady Danger" is right up my alley. As much as I love this colour, I haven't found a time to wear it during the day but I think I might start to make an exception for this lipstick because I absolutely LOVE it.

Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish

I picked up the Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in the shade "Bleu Water" the 40% off cosmetics sale at Priceline a couple of weeks ago. It claims to have silicone gel texture which makes application very easy and gives that gel salon finish.

 {taken one day after painting nails}
"Bleu Water"

The bottle is so unique which was what drew me to it in priceline and it has textured patches on the tall lid so you can twist it open. As soon as I saw this colour, I knew that I wanted it because I don't own this type of nail polish colour in my collection. It's light blue and it's definitely a fun one to wear now that it's summer in Australia.

One of the reasons I really like this nail polish is because the brush expands to a fan-like shape and fits the shape of your nail so effortlessly and saves a lot of time by painting your nail in one swipe {hence the name "1 Seconde"}. I was really impressed with how pigmented it was with one coat but I decided to do another 2 coats to make sure the colour would last and not chip.

The bottle claims that the nail polish dries in 50 seconds but I don't think thats true. It does dry pretty quickly compared to other nail polishes but not 50 seconds fast. I would wait around 2-3 minutes before applying another layer. I used my OPI base coat and Revlon Colorstay top coat and it lasted about 2-3 days which is pretty good for me because I somehow always manage to chip my nails within the first 24 hours of wearing it.

Overall I do like this nail polish and I can't wait to wear it more in summer. Bourjois don't have a big range of nail polish colours however they have some unusual colours that aren't available in other brand displays like revlon and rimmel etc. It retails for $12AUD which is the average price of nail polishes at priceline.

Have you tried Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish?
If so, what are your thoughts?

Rimmel London Apocalips Review and Swatches

It's no secret that these lip lacquers are well loved at the moment and I thought I would share my thoughts on them. I own 4 different shades out of a possible 8 and so far I would say that I'm pretty impressed with them. For those who don't know {me before I did research} a lip lacquer gives the colour of a lipstick but has a similar texture and finish to a gloss.

First off, I am in love with the packaging. It's predominately black and then fades to the colour of the actual shade you bought which is great when you quickly need to grab the colour you want as you run out the door. It has silver font thats easy to read however I would have loved it even more if the name of the shade was in silver too, not just on the barcode sticker. The lid has this cool diamond cut looking tip which makes the packaging look sleek and sophisticated.

At first I thought the texture looked a bit too runny but when applied to the lips, I found that it glided on smoothly and the pigmentation was brilliant. One swipe was BAM! IN YO FACE and the intensity of the colour didn't fade or sink into the lips like most lip products. The lip applicator was a little bendy at the tip which hugs your lips as you apply the lacquer which I thought was really helpful considering how pigmented it is.

The only problem that I had with this lip lacquer was that it transfers off on other things so easily omg. After applying, it just sort of slid off my lips a little. HOWEVER there might be a solution! Instead of using the lip applicator you can use a lip brush or your ring finger for a lighter layer of the lacquer which might help stop the colour from bleeding. Alternatively, you could use a lip liner.

It does feel very creamy but I found that because I have chapped lips that the lacquer sort of amplified that {not cute}. So make sure to prep your lips before using this product. If you have dry chapped lips lightly exfoliate your lips with a gentle lip scrub and swipe some clear moisturising lip balm so they are nice and smooth when you apply the lip lacquer.

100 Phenomenon
A milky nude beige. Out of all of the shades I own, I dislike this one the most. I don't know if it's me or the lacquer but I always have a hard time putting on this colour. It sinks into fine lines and doesn't spread evenly on my lips.

101 Celestial
A dusty rose colour. This is my favourite out of all the shades because the colour isn't too strong so it's perfect for a casual day out.

303 Apocaliptic
A bright fuchsia pink colour which has blue undertones. This colour is absolutely gorgeous and it's the sort of colour that I would wear out at night.

501 Stellar
When I first bought this shade I thought it was a bright neon red colour but it seems to have a touch of coral. I still love it either way.

All the colours are fun and outgoing, they range from subtle nudes to vibrant bright shades - something for everyone. My favourite is "Celestial" because it's a nice simple colour that can be worn everyday.The lasting power of the bright colours was about 2 to 3 hours {with light eating} and the lasting power of the nude colour was less - about one hour {which is a little disappointing}.

Overall, I do like this product and I think I will get a lot of use out of them in the future. The colour selection is great and they are reasonably priced at $12.75 each at Priceline.

What's your favourite shade from the Apocalips range?

December Beauty Wish List

It's the beginning of the month and Christmas is just around the corner. I thought I would share some beauty/ hair products that I have been lusting over in November which has carried through into December.

December beauty wishlist

{1} Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: As soon as the announcement of this bad boy came out, I instantly knew that I wanted it in my life. This rosy palette has been well received from a lot of beauty bloggers and from the swatches that I have seen, the colours are so natural for being such a different palette from the others.

{2} EOS Limited Edition Passion Fruit Smooth Sphere Lip Balm: WOW that was a mouthful. Everyone loves these lip balms and we don't have them here in Australia and I really want to try it out.

{3} Marc Jacobs Dot Fragrance: I sprayed it at the shops with my mum one time and it smelled amazing - more fruitier than Marc Jacobs Daisy. Plus the bottle has a lady bug pattern on it which is really cute.

{4} VS Sassoon Ultimate Retra-Cord Multi Curls VSP3029A: I normally use a curling iron to curl my hair but my hair is so lifeless and the curl drops quickly even if I use hair products in it. I was getting my hair done for a wedding and the lady decided to use rollers and I was so surprised on how long they held the curl so I thought I need to invest in one of these.

{5} Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine {Colour: Pink In Paris}: I was watching some YSL Lipstick collection videos on youtube and one girl swatched "Pink In Paris" and its such a pretty rose pink colour.

What's on your wish list at the moment?

The Nerd Files | Comic Book Haul

Okay, before you get all confused. Yes I love beauty but you may not know that I am a massive pop culture fan as well. I don't know what it is but I just get so many feels when something exciting happens in the geeky community and I love it. I have been to Perth's Comic Con and Supanova for the first time this year and basically felt like I was amongst my people fangirling over everything. I love playing video games and love collecting certain comic books/ graphic novels/ pop vinyl figurines. I thought it would be cool to share what sort of things I buy to read or decorate my room with so I hope you guys find it interesting.

I was in the city last wednesday with some friends and we went to 3 comic book shops and I was in heaven :'). I don't go to those shops often only because I never really go to the city so when I make the trip there, I spend a while looking at everything and deciding on what to get.

The Walking Dead | Volume 2
I was looking for this baby everywhere because I have volumes 1, 3 and 4 which I got from Kings Comics in Sydney and I haven't been able to read on because I needed Volume 2. As soon as I finished the 1st comic, I sat around kind of hopelessly and then I went out and bought the walking dead on dvd and its AMAAAZING!

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World | Volume 1
Scott Pilgrim Vs the World is one of my favourite movies, I have watched it a gazillion times and I will never get sick of it. I have been waiting to get this comic because I wanted to know the full story. I decided to get the coloured version of the comic because I think the story looks better in colour. The book is also a hardcover which is wonderful because it will look fabulous on my bookshelf as well as stay in good condition when I read it a million times.

Kick Ass
I'm pretty sure I picked this comic up in the spare of the moment because I saw the movie once and liked it and I wanted to read the full story.

Lust Have It November 2013

I have always seen bloggers getting into the monthly subscription boxes filled with a good amount of beauty goodies and it wasn't until mid-november that I really wanted to try one out for myself. So I bit the bullet and searched for the best beauty box that I thought suited me the best and I finally decided on the Australian beauty box called "Lust Have It". It costs $19.95 a month and it get delivered straight to your door with fun sized beauty products waiting to be played with.

My November "Lust Have It" box came on Sunday and as soon as I saw the box I got all excited. I opened the box and squealed with joy when I saw some of the products.

Mary Kay Energising Foot Scrub
This foot scrub was one of the bigger sized products from the box and I was pretty happy that I received the foot scrub out of the others - Relaxing Foot Soak and Soothing Foot Balm. I never really treat my feet so I'm glad that I got this product to try out.
RRP $38 in a pack

Davroe Wellbeing Treatment Replenish {Full size}
This hair treatment is claiming to "help repair, seal and smooth even the most damages hair". I have never used this brand before on my hair so I'm not sure if it's going to do exactly what it claims. Nonetheless, I'm really excited to try it on the ends of my hair because I always love testing out new haircare products.
RRP $11.95 for 50ml

Palmer's Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub
I rarely exfoliate my face but only I'm scared to commit to a full sized bottle of something that might break me out and ain't nobody got time for that. Seeing as this is a sample, I might give it a go sometime soon.
RRP $9.99 for 150ml

Benefit's They're Real Mascara
The main star of the box in my eyes. I mentioned in my November favourites that I absolutely love this mascara and I'm actually so pleased that I have a mini version to take on the go and travelling.
RRP $38 for 8.5ml

Aveda Tourmaline Charged Exfoliating Cleanser
This cleanser contains jojoba exfoliating beads which "increase cell turnover and removes impurities". I did a little test patch and found it was really gentle on the skin. I might trial it some more and find out for myself if I would spend the money because it is a quite expensive cleanser.
RRP $59.95 for 150ml

Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Cream
As soon as I saw the RRP I was shocked. And really glad that I can test it out and see if I think it's worth buying. It's designed for normal to dry skin and is supposed to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
RRP $89.95 for 50ml

Lonvitalite C3 Collagen Firming & Moisturising Facial Mask
Another product that I'm really excited about because I have always wanted to try a face mask but have really never found the time or the right face mask to try out.
RRP $32 for a pack of 5

Thinking of You by Mary Kay
This was the least impressive sample by far. I opened it and the smell wasn't that great. I found it a little too strong. eh.
RRP $30 for 29.6ml

The box also contained some cards including a free session at a Benefit counter, a hello fresh gift card and an exclusive offer from Davroe.

Overall I was excited about the box arriving for the first time. Obviously the Benefit Mascara was my favourite and I think the box was good value. I can't wait to fully test out each of the products and go for a free session at Benefit. I can safely say that I'm super excited about December's Lust Have It box.

What are your thoughts on Novembers Lust Have It box?

November Favourites 2013

Another month has gone by and I actually can't believe that it's December already. This month I got accepted into Uni which I am stoked about and I had some fun times with family and friends. I have also tried out quite a few different beauty products this month and I have been using some of them almost every day since I bought them. So lets jump in.

Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Liner
Hands down my favourite liquid eyeliner ever. I have been using it for a while now and it hasn't run out yet and what I love the most is that its a pen-like applicator instead of a wand or a brush. It's super thin and really pigmented which is fantastic for building up the line to how you like it. And it doesn't dry out which is a major plus because most felt tip eyeliners dry pretty quickly.

CORALista Blush
A new blush that I tried for the first time and I really like it. It smells great and has great pigmentation to give perfectly flushed cheeks. What I like about it is that you can build up the colour and I think I will look nice with a summer tan.

Benefit: CORALista Blush

Bourjois Paris Healthy Balance Unifying Powder
I have been using this powder to work every day and love it. It's easy to blend and it stays matte for a while before you need reapplying. It's small and compact and the mirror never gets full of powder. I bought my powder a shade lighter than my foundation and it suits my skin tone perfectly.

Benefit's They're Real! Mascara
Why haven't I found this product sooner?! I absolutely LOVE this mascara! I was shocked on how long my eyelashes looked and it didn't clump my eyelashes together like most mascaras do. I also love how there is a little bud at the top of the wand so you can separate and reach hard to get lashes. love. love. love.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
I just started investing in some good quality brushes and I found that Real Techniques are both good quality and affordable. The buffing brush came in a set of 4 in the "Core Collection" pack. I use this to apply and blend my foundation on my face and it does an amazing job with no streaks.

And these are my favourite beauty products that I have been giving extra love to this month.
What have you been loving this month?

A Lush Haul

My first lush haul! How exciting!

Almost every beauty blogger that I follow were making their little trips to Lush to get some goodies from the christmas collection. Everyone seems to love everything and I mean everything about lush - the way the products smell and the fact that everything is made from natural ingredients.

After reading about everyones thoughts and reviews, I felt like I had a good idea about what products that I wanted to buy. But as soon as I walked into the store, everything just went out the window and I just bought things that I thought looked the cutest and smelt the best. Being a Lush noob, I was basically picking up and smelling everything to the point where I had a headache by the time I was ready to pay for the things I was going to buy.

Magic Wand Bubble Bar

"Fairy Princesses of all ages will love this great value re-usable bubble bar for up to ten bubble baths. Swish it around in the water for a skin softening vanilla scented soak and a mound of candy bubbles."

I pretty much was going to buy this because everyone was raving about it but then when I saw it in the store and smelt it for myself, I was 100% sold on the concept. It is pink, star-shaped on a stick {which feels a bit flimsy} with a ribbon and a jingle bell. It smells absolutely amazing, like the snow fairy shower gel which smells very sweet almost like fairy floss.

Angel's Delight Soap

"If you'r a fan of the popular Angel's Delight dessert then you'll love this classic Lush Soap. A Yummy pink soap, adorned with stars, moons and all things glittery - tangerine oil, orange oil and gardenia oil provides the sweet, jelly baby fragrance and also really work to cleanse, refresh and detox the skin."

I smelt all the soaps and I definitely thought this one smelt the best. I couldn't put my finger on how it smells until I read the description on the website but it really does smell like a mixture of lollies and a hint of orange. After bringing the Angel's Delight soap home, it has been making my bathroom smell delightful.

 Green Bubbleroon Bubble Bar

"Green Bubbleroon is a foaming, meadow-sweet bath of grass and orange flower. This one embodies the essence of summer - so whilst your body is lying in the bath, your mind is on a tartan blacnket on the grass beside a lake enjoying the perfect summer picnic. Everything is here, the jug of homemade lemonade, the warm breeze through the grass, the smell of orchards in the air and the warmth of the sun on your skin. A fresh uplifting bath, with orange, lime and juniper berries, that could bring sun to even the darkest winter days."

Wow, that description pretty much speaks for itself! The Lush store that I went to had different scents of the bubbleroons on a cake stand which I thought was a nice touch. I also like how the bubble bar can be separated in the middle for two bubble baths instead of one.

Armandopondo Bubble Bar

"Lemon and rose to help you forgive and forget. Armandopondo is scented with rose absolute and a twist of lemon and orange oils. Each little cream pillow has a rosebud on top to symbolise an appeal for forgiveness. Present to one to anyone you have wronged; once they have bathed in its fragrant form, all should be forgiven as the rose, lemon and orange oils lift the spirits."

The Armandopondo Bubble Bar smells absolutely amazing! I have used this one already and I really liked it! It has just the right amount of rose, lemon and orange oils that leave my skin and the bath smelling wonderful without being overpowering.

Pop In the Bath Bubble Bar

"Chipper little flower-shaped bar to fill you with enthusiasm. The Pop In the Bath Bubble Bar was originally inspired by Mary Poppins, who blew in on the East Wind to 17 Cherry Tree Lance to sort out a chaotic household. I'm sure we all have times when we could do with someone like Mary to sort out our problems. Be pro-active instead; take a calming bergamot, lemon and mandarin bath. They come in a variety of colour combos but they all smell equally perky."

The Pop In The Bath Bubble Bar is my favourite out of everything that I bought. It has a floral fragrance which I find relaxing and the bar itself is really cute!

Karma Bubble Bar

"Our signature fragrance for bath-time: oranges and multi-layered spices. Karma is a fragrance that keeps on giving. Each time you catch a whiff of its many-layered fragrance, you notice yet another thread in its multi-stranded personality. Top notes, middle notes, base notes and all the notes in between disentangle themselves before you. Bathe in a fluffy Karma bath and you'll generously perfume the whole house with its fragrance (and yourself too)."

The Karma Bubble Bar has a fairly strong orange smell which I can't really handle too well but I still like it. I think I was really immersed into shopping when I bought this because I don't know if will I end up using it any time soon.

Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar
{SAMPLE}

"Snow Fairy fragranced sparkle in a bar! With a soft heart full of moisturising butters, oils and shimmering silver lustre to leave you smelling candy sweet and ready for your party dress. Smooth this bar over your arms and shoulders for soft shimmering skin that catches the light as you flutter."

I didn't realise it until I got home but the lady that served me chucked in a little sample of the Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar which was really nice of her. However, I don't like message bars because they are so messy and slimy. But the full size Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar is really cute!!

Have you been to lush recently? What's your favourite product from there at the moment?

Review: Chi Chi Glamorous Eyes Bronzes Palette

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would do a review on one of my absolute favourite products in my make up collection which is the Chi Chi Glamourous Eyes "Bronzes" Palette. My cousin bought this for me for my birthday one year and I have loved it ever since. There are 8 palettes in the Glamour Eyes Collection which include Classics, Brights, Sultry and the very popular Nudes which happens to be a perfect dupe for Urban Decays Naked Palette.

The packaging of the palette is very simple, with metallic writing on a clear lid keeping the focus on the shadows. The case is very lightweight, feeling a bit cheap and not sturdy as I would like it to be. It comes with 2 foam eyeshadow applicators which is not really my cup of tea however, they do pick up quite a lot of the product with one swipe.

The Glamourous Eyes Bronze Palette contains 12 shades which can be used to create various smokey eye looks. The eyeshadows themselves all have a bit of shimmer to them - not one is a matte shadow- and I find that some shades are not as pigmented as others but they are the colours that I don't really use so it doesn't really matter to me. In my experience of using this palette, they are easy to apply and blend out and I never get home with fall out under my eyes or on my cheeks which is fantastic for a cheaper brand on the market.

SWATCHES

The Glamourous Eyes Palettes cost $22.95AUD and can be found at Target and Myer.
Overall, I'm very impressed with this eyeshadow palette and it will have to do until I can save up to get an Urban Decay Naked Palette. If the pigmentation of the Chi Chi shadows in the "Nudes" palette is anything like this one, I think I definitely will be buying that one as well.

Have you tried anything from Chi Chi?

Priceline Haul

A couple of weeks ago, I went on another spontaneous trip to priceline and picked up some goodies that I am rather happy about. Some products I bought were on special at the time, some were an in the moment kind of buy and some were ones that I felt that I needed. I'm not going to lie when I say I spent well over 45 minutes just standing with my basket swatching almost everything I could get my hands on.

From Left to Right:
Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Laquer { Celestial},
Essie Nail Laquer {Sole Mate}
Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara
Essie Nail Laquer {Fishnet Stockings}
Real Techniques Blush Brush
Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Volumising Mascara
Max Factor Wild Shadow Pot {Savage Rose}
Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy {Galactic}
Essence Studio Nails Ultra Strong Nail Harder.

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Laquer {Celestial}
It's no secret that everyone has one of these bad boys in their lipstick collection. Although all the colours are really nice, I decided on "Celestial" because I had seen some bloggers that have the same skin tones as me swatch it and I thought it looked amazing!

Essie Nail Laquer {Sole Mate | Fishnet Stockings}
When I went to priceline not long ago, they had a sale on Essie Nail polishes 2 for $20AUD which I thought was the most amazing thing in the world. I'm not sure if that sale is still going on but is it worth giving your local priceline a quick look to see. I know its spring blah blah blah but as soon as I saw these berry toned polishes, I knew that I wanted them! Perfect for fall!

Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara
A friend got this in one of her trips to priceline so I thought I would give it a go to keep my eyebrows in place! I have never even head of clear mascara until when I picked this up so I was really intrigued to try this out.

Real Techniques Blush Brush
Every beauty blogger either knows about the brushes by Real Techniques or owns most of them. Basically I needed a blush brush and this was one I knew would be good quality.

Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Volumising Mascara & Wild Shadow Pot {Savage Rose}
I can't remember exactly why I got these, but I think it was because it was a special for 2 for $20 out of the new range. Either way, I'm excited to try out both of these products.

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy {Galactic}
First, I was drawn in by the stand that had all the different colours laying on it's side. Then the sparkles! It's exactly the type of nail colours that I would normally go for and I am extra excited to review this soon, so keep yo eyes peeled.

Essence Studio Nails Ultra Strong Nail Hardner
This was a product that I needed to get because my nails are peeling and chipping like no tomorrow. I haven't tried this out yet because I have just been wearing normal nail polishes all the time, So hopefully it does it's job.

And thats all the things that I got from Priceline a couple of weeks ago.
Has their been any products that you have seen in Priceline that have stood out to you?
Have a lovely day!

Review: Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Body Scrub

Not long ago, I discovered a cute shop in Perth called Crabtree & Evelyn which sells a whole bunch of really nice smelling body soaps, creams and scrubs. I picked up this body scrub which is apart of the Citron, Honey & Coriander Collection. All the products in the Citron, Honey & Coriander Collection have a spicy lemony scent which is one of the main reasons I decided to give this product a go.

First off, the product came in a box which makes everything a little more exciting. The design on the box is very simple and vintage inspired. The tube is a perfect size and it stands on its lid which is fantastic because it means I won't waste any product because the product travels down naturally.

The body scrub is a thick, creamy texture which is jam packed with exfoliating sunflower seed wax granules to remove dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth. The instructions said to "Apply generously to dry or slightly damp skin, then rub in circular motions". I tried both on different days and found that applying the scrub on dry skin was very scratchy. I personally found it was easier to spread the product on my skin when I quickly splashed some water on my legs before I used the scrub. I also found that this way of applying the scrub was more gentle than scrubbing on dry skin so I would recommend that way if you have sensitive skin.

After massaging the body scrub onto my legs for about five minutes, I hopped into the shower to rinse it off and I was so surprised with the results. My legs felt very soft and smooth and there wasn't an overpowering smell {it smelt oh so lemony}.

I paid $30.00 AUD for this product and at first I thought it was a little bit pricy. However after trying the product for myself, I was extremely impressed with how it left my skin feeling and I think its worth it.

Have you tried anything from Crabtree & Evelyn?

Would You Rather Tag

I was tagged a couple of days ago by Amelie from All Things Glitter and Beauty to do the "Would You rather Tag". Definitely check out her lovely beauty and fashion blog if you haven't already!

{1} Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I think I could live without my palettes and eyeshadows more than I can without my mascaras, eyeliners and lipsticks.

{2} Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
WHAAA?! It's taking forever for me to grow my hair but if I don't cut it, it won't grow..this is such a difficult question. omg. fine, chop it off. :'(

{3} Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I'm definitely a pink cheek kinda gal. I tried a coral cheek once but I think I put a bit too much on and it put me off coral cheeks for good.

{4} If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
OUUUUUi! This is a toughie too because then I could buy a lot of high street make up brands or I can buy loads of clothes. I'm going to say clothes because I'm the kind of girl that looks at her packed out wardrobe and sobs because she doesn't have anything to wear.

{5} Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Either one as the other would be a complete disaster so I'm going to go with option 3 which is neither. But if I had to choose, probably lipstick as eyeliner!

{6} Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Believe it or not, but I have only been to one MAC counter in my life and it wasn't even for me! SHOCKER! A BEAUTY BLOGGER NOT SHOPPING AT MAC?! WHAT MADNESS! Just thinking about the products at MAC is making me and my wallet cry. I have never been to a Sephora either {We don't have it in Australia which is really sad for the beauty community here}. So, Which ever one has the most range of products is my answer!

{7} Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I basically use the same eyeshadow everyday anyways so I know I can live with the same shade of eyeshadow that I know will suit both day and night.

{8}Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I do enjoy my winter clothes more than summer clothes.. And I think I could live inside during the summer with the air-conditioner on!

{9} Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I think I would have bright nails all the time because brighter colours tend to make me feel more happier.

{10} Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
I think I would give up some of my lipsticks because I can't live without a good cat eye! ;D

{11} Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I would rather wear my hair in Ponytails because they take little to no time to put it up and they show off how long my hair is {which is not very long}. Plus, I can't bull off messy buns like most people can.

{12} Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
Probably never be able to wear lip gloss again because I have way too many nail polishes that I am in love with that are in different shades and brands that I need to use up.

{13} Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I can't even fill in my eyebrows properly now, how do you expect me to sharpie them in everyday?! HAHAH omg but I would never shave my eyebrows off.

{14} Would you rather line without makeup or nail polish?
Finally, an easy one! I would rather live without nail polish because "makeup" consists of basically everything like foundations, eyeliners, mascaras, blushers, bronzers etc {The list goes on}. I think I would get more out of makeup than nail polish because I have problematic skin that I need to hide.

I hope you enjoyed my answers, it was a fun tag to do and the questions were more difficult than I thought.

Top 5 Spring Lipsticks

Today I thought I would share my favourite 5 lipsticks that I like to wear in the spring time. It's this season of year that I like to steer towards the lighter shades of lipsticks in my collection and find myself reaching for these lipsticks over and over again.

1. Rimmel London Lasting Finish {Pink Blush}
2. Maybelline Color Whisper {Petal Rebel}
3. Maybelline Color Sensational {Ice Tea}
4. Maybelline Color Sensational {Born with It}
5. Maybelline Color Whisper {Orange Attitude}

Wowza, I didn't realize that all my favourites at the moment are Maybelline {This ISN'T a sponsored post, I just genuinely love the brand of lipsticks at the moment}. They are moisturising enough for my semi-chapped lips that need a lil boost of colour and I am loving lipsticks that have a lustre finish at the moment!

What are your favourite lipsticks for spring?

October Favourites 2013

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful October and enjoyed getting into the halloween spirit. I can't even believe that it's November already like where did the time fly?! Nothing extra interesting happened in the month of October for me which is kind of sad {I was probably recovering after the one direction concert I went to in September}. And I was super bummed out that I didn't get the chance to try out any "new" beauty products because I was trying to save my money, nonetheless I recovered some oldies and discovered a couple of newbies that I have been using and loving in the month of October.

Vineyard Peach Body Butter
I nearly forgot that I had this body butter in my collection but it has always been my favourite. It smells like fresh peaches and boy does it make me hungry because it smells SO good! I usually use it on my arms and legs and it sinks in so quickly, hydrates them and leaves them so smooth. I was so devo when I found out that it was a limited edition body butter and is not sold anymore! :'(

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
I have been using this mascara everyday this month because it gives my short, stubby lashes a nice lift {with the help of Mr eyelash curler}. It's also waterproof which is fantastic because I don't get home after work looking like a racoon.

Australis Eyeshadow Primer
I have been using this eyeshadow primer ever since I got it {First haul here} and have been loving it. It makes my eyeshadows stay in place all night which is it's main purpose. Definitely loving this one.

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm {Pink Blossom}
I have always loved Burt's Bees lip balms and I decided to try the tinted lip balm. They give a nice pigmented colour which is build-able which is perfect for adding a little colour to the face without going overboard in heavy lipsticks. Love it!

Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes
These towelettes remove dirt, sweat and make up AND they smell like cucumbers! They are also Oil-free, non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic which is wonderful for my acne prone skin. What I like about these face wipes are that they actually get all my makeup off so easily leaving it feel fresh.

And these are my favourite beauty products for the month of October. What were your beauty favourites?

Jack-O-Lantern Nails

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!
Today I decided to paint my nails to get into the halloween spirit. I got inspired by the most obvious halloweeny thing which is the Jack-O-Lantern. So I ventured out to the shops and found this nail polish called Essence in Priceline.

First of all, the colour is gorgeous! Its a bright orange called Flashy Pumpkins which seemed like a perfect fit for the look I was going for. I had never tried Essence nail polishes before and for $2.75AUD I wasn't going to say no to that price. At first I was skeptical about the quality of the nail polish but was I'm extremely impressed with how pigmented it was from the first stroke.

All I did was paint my nails orange and then used this nail pen I bought ages ago from sportsgirl to draw the face on the Jack-O-Lantern.

Nails of the Day

Hi everyone,

WOWZA!! I haven't blogged in a while because I have been really busy with work but enough with the excuses, I'm back and am going to get back into the swing of things with my blog. And what better way to start by showing you a cheeky nail of the day.

I absolutely LOVE the Rimmel London I ♡ Lasting Finish in the colour Misty Jade. In the photo it looks more like a lightish blue but in real life its more of a greenish tiffany blue if that makes any sense. The colour changes a little depending on the lighting and possibly what type of base and top coat.

This colour is perfect for spring and I was really impressed with how it lasted a little over 5 days {with hardcore opening boxes and stuff for work}.

I then added an accent nail with O.P.I Nail Lacquer in the colour Gone Gonzo! Which I am pretty sure was apart of the 2011 Muppets Collection which can be purchased on Amazon

O.P.I Natural Base Coat: Here
Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish {Misty Jade}: Here
O.P.I. Nail Lacquer {Gone Gonzo!}: Here
Revlon Color Stay Top Coat: Here

I'm kinda bummed out that the photos didn't really show the "true" colour but hopefully you get where I was going.

And thats one quick post for ya!
Hope you're having a lovely day!
