The Big Ol' Lush Sale Haul

Everyone seems to go nuts over the Lush 50% off selected items sale every boxing day so last year I decided to give it a look to see if there were some real good deals. I am going to start off with how incredible BUSY the store was, holy moly I underestimated how crazy it was going to be. It wasn't like there were people stabbing each other with their heels to get the prodz that they wanted, but the store was so tight and full of people. I ended up waiting in line for 45 minutes. yep. let's not talk about it anymore.

SO I DID SOME SHOPPING, yaaaaay!!

I never know what I want from there so I ducked and weaved through the crowd looking at things while trying to read labels {Note for next time, have an idea of what you want to buy}. I picked up a few things that sounded interesting to me and not really if they were popular or not.

The Ocean Sea Salt Scrub was a repurchase as mama lemon and I really enjoyed it the first time we bought it. I would describe the smell as being a sweet salt as it's not like the Big Shampoo where it smells like straight up salt. The texture is so lovely, it's fluffy and you can feel the granules work to remove dead skin. It leaves your skin feeling instantly refreshed and smelling great!

The only product that I kinda wish I didn't buy was the Strawberry Feels Forever Massage Bar. I will say that it does smell like strawberry milk and the whole aesthetic of it being in a strawberry shape is really on point. But when I use it, I can't help feel like I'm like an oily seal which is really sad. It makes all the water droplets just roll of my skin and I can't work with it. BUT it does make your skin feel amazingly soft when you pop out of the shower. Minusing point due to the oiliness.

I managed to get a Rose Jam Shower Gel which I had been waiting to go on sale since the christmas collection came out. Good things come to those who wait, amirite?! It smells like straight up roses and it fills up the whole bathroom with the scent. It lingers on my skin and it somehow makes me feel a little relaxed after I use it.

I saw a tub of the Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie sitting on the shelf next to the Rose Jam Gel and took a whiff of it and then put it straight in my basket. The smell of this body stuff smells like roses too but less strong. The texture is a thick whipped cream which is divine to work into the skin as it goes on so creamy!

Lush Space Girl Bath Bomb

I have had this bath bomb from Lush sitting in my cupboard for a while and I finally found the time to sit back and relax. Now that my exams are officially over for the year, I was like "you worked hard girl, #treatyoself". 

I decided on using the Lush Space Girl Bath Bomb because it smelt so good annnd because it looks like a little itty bitty glittery spaceship! Now I know that when I post about Lush that it is always a bath bomb, and that is because I don't take baths very often so when I do, it's like a field trip {so #treatyoself}. First things first {no iggy jokes here my friend}, the smell of Space Girl is incredible! I actually prefer this scent to all the other Lush products because it didn't give me a headache! I can't even begin to describe what this bath bomb smells like.. maybe a mix between a flower and a sweet berry? maybe.

When I plopped it in the bath I was a little mortified to be honest because my whole bath started turning red {dafig?} but then as it fizzed out after two minutes or so, a purple berry colour mixed in with the red and it had this real cool ombre effect in the water! The smell definitely lingers! I can still smell it on my skin and in my bathroom and I'm totally cool with it because it smells so good! I'm going to say that I felt like a slippery seal when I tried getting out of the bath HAHHAH, people have said that they haven't found their bath bomb very moisturising, but I did.

Overall, I enjoyed having a bath with the Lush Space Girl bath ballistic! I don't think I will repurchase because bath bombs are kind of a one time thing {if you want more uses + bubbles, invest in the bubble bars}.

Lush Think Pink

After my last Lush experience with the "Fizzbanger" which I was pleased with, I decided to go to lush again to get some more goodies. I spent max 3 minutes in the store before my brain was going to explode with all the different scents going on. I saw how cute the Think Pink Bath Ballistic was with it's little flower pattern and it sort of reeled me in with it's cuteness.

This little pink ball fizzes in the bath very quickly and then releases little pink confetti hearts which was so exciting to see floating around the tub. It makes the room smell so good, I can't even remember anymore but it was really girly and feminine {think flowers, candy, etc.}. Unfortunately, the smell didn't linger on my skin :'( and only made my skin feel soft while in the bath so even though the smell was divine, the Think Pink Bath Ballistic was so underwhelming. I was expecting a little more pazazz or even some little bubbles so I won't be repurchasing BUT saying that, it was nice to try it out!

April Favourites 2014

It's April Favourites Time!! April was kind a slow month with a million assignments to be done but I did manage to add some fun. At the start of April my cousin and I went to Adelaide Comic Con and met Benedict Cumberbatch {A.k.a. Sherlock!! DEM CHEEKBONES ARE LIFE}. Other than that highlight, everything else I did in April seemed so teeny. I've made too many trips to Mecca Cosmetica this month, so I've had a few things to trial and test out.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash
I bought this product at the beginning of the month and I have been loving it. The scent is so sweet with a strong hit of lime which makes the whole shower + my body smell really good! It makes my skin so smooth and I'm glad that there is still more than 3/4 left in the bottle considering I have used quite a bit up already.

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub
I have JUST purchased this now, after wanting it for so long and I don't know why I waited so long. I love it! The sweet and salty flavour tastes good and even though I'm still getting used to the whole "lick the dead skin off your lips" thing, it does do a good job at getting rid of peeling lips making them ready for lipstick {Mwa}.

OPI Muppets Most Wanted {Kermit Speak to Me}

Ever since this baby entered my life, I have been loving it. This nail polish is apart of OPI's Muppets Most Wanted Collection and is a mauve/green duo-chrome. I just can't get over how lovely the shade is.

Random Mascara Wand
I don't even know where I found this mascara wand, it just sort of appeared in my collection. I use it to tame my brows because they are going through that awkward growing out stage..

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm {Elusive}
My last post was about the Revlon Matte Balms and I am in love with the shade "Elusive". It's a really easy colour to wear and I sometimes pair it with MAC's "Sweetie" on top so it gives a bit of sheen and moisture. LOVE!!

L'oreal Super Liner Blackbuster Eyeliner
Again, I have done a review about why I like this eyeliner. It's a thick marker and I somehow find it easier to create a thin line and flick! Crazy right?! Any time I decided to add liquid eyeliner to my eyelids this month, I have used this!

Lush Fizzbanger Bath Ballistic

After my last Lush experience, I was sure that I wouldn't purchase anything anymore because the store gave me such a headache so I decided to place a sneaky order online to escape the concoctions being created. I ordered quite a few things but sadly most of the things need returning {a long story for another time ;D} BUT I saved this bath ballistic so I could enjoy at least some of my order.

Lush describes the Fizzbanger Bath Ballistic as a "Toffee-apple for your bath; perfect for the young and young at heart". This bath ballistic smells absolutely amazing making me feel warm and fuzzy, this definitely is a scent for fall. The Fizzbanger looks so plain from the outside but the magic is on the inside!! I put it in the tub, it fizzed up and started turning yellow, then blue and then making the whole tub of water green! I was in awe as I have never tried the bath ballistics from Lush before and I didn't realise how lovely it looks. The water was green! THE WATER WAS GREEN! My skin felt so velvety and smooth and the smell lingered both on my skin and in the room. And after when I was cleaning the bath up, I noticed a little surprise sitting on the drain which I thought was such a cute touch.

After this Lush bath, I think I'm more keen on the Bath Ballistics! Which one would you recommend?

A Lush Haul

My first lush haul! How exciting!

Almost every beauty blogger that I follow were making their little trips to Lush to get some goodies from the christmas collection. Everyone seems to love everything and I mean everything about lush - the way the products smell and the fact that everything is made from natural ingredients.

After reading about everyones thoughts and reviews, I felt like I had a good idea about what products that I wanted to buy. But as soon as I walked into the store, everything just went out the window and I just bought things that I thought looked the cutest and smelt the best. Being a Lush noob, I was basically picking up and smelling everything to the point where I had a headache by the time I was ready to pay for the things I was going to buy.

Magic Wand Bubble Bar

"Fairy Princesses of all ages will love this great value re-usable bubble bar for up to ten bubble baths. Swish it around in the water for a skin softening vanilla scented soak and a mound of candy bubbles."

I pretty much was going to buy this because everyone was raving about it but then when I saw it in the store and smelt it for myself, I was 100% sold on the concept. It is pink, star-shaped on a stick {which feels a bit flimsy} with a ribbon and a jingle bell. It smells absolutely amazing, like the snow fairy shower gel which smells very sweet almost like fairy floss.

Angel's Delight Soap

I smelt all the soaps and I definitely thought this one smelt the best. I couldn't put my finger on how it smells until I read the description on the website but it really does smell like a mixture of lollies and a hint of orange. After bringing the Angel's Delight soap home, it has been making my bathroom smell delightful.

 Green Bubbleroon Bubble Bar

Wow, that description pretty much speaks for itself! The Lush store that I went to had different scents of the bubbleroons on a cake stand which I thought was a nice touch. I also like how the bubble bar can be separated in the middle for two bubble baths instead of one.

Armandopondo Bubble Bar

"Lemon and rose to help you forgive and forget. Armandopondo is scented with rose absolute and a twist of lemon and orange oils. The Armandopondo Bubble Bar smells absolutely amazing! I have used this one already and I really liked it! It has just the right amount of rose, lemon and orange oils that leave my skin and the bath smelling wonderful without being overpowering.

Pop In the Bath Bubble Bar

The Pop In The Bath Bubble Bar is my favourite out of everything that I bought. It has a floral fragrance which I find relaxing and the bar itself is really cute!

Karma Bubble Bar

The Karma Bubble Bar has a fairly strong orange smell which I can't really handle too well but I still like it. I think I was really immersed into shopping when I bought this because I don't know if will I end up using it any time soon.

Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar

I didn't realise it until I got home but the lady that served me chucked in a little sample of the Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar which was really nice of her. However, I don't like message bars because they are so messy and slimy. But the full size Snow Fairy Sparkle Massage Bar is really cute!!
